Jivan Vikas Shikshan Sanstha, Risod was established in 1994 to promote higher education and provide excellence knowledge to economically backward students of rural area. The Sanstha has established the College Late Pushpadevi Patil Arts and Science College Risod.Dist-Washim in 2001 primarily with arts stream. Later on the science stream started in 2009. The both arts and science stream were run with only UG courses on granted basis which is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati.
